such a pretty day
butterflies the color
of these blossoms
fluttered by ☺
we came upon
this little opening...
and
saw
"mommy, can we go home
and get a container
to put them in
so we can watch them turn into butterflies?"
later that day
I posted the pics on fb
and found out that these are tent worms.
They eat the green life of trees
and could eventually kill the tree.
(we will NOT be bringing any of THESE home for pets!)

tent worms remind me of
James 1:12-16
14 But each person is tempted
when he is lured
and enticed by his own desire.
15 Then desire when it has conceived
gives birth to sin,
and sin when it is fully grown
brings forth death.
(do not be deceived...)
the girls carried home
some fresh smelling lilacs instead :).
