endure.

Do you ever get tired of hearing it? Endure. Keep on.  God is working all things together for good for those who love Him.  Maturity.  Completion.
There is just more and more snow.  Less health and increased amounts of "in sickness".  Winter, winter, winter.
Then comes a rare moment in life when all of a sudden you "see" and "know" all of this unseen faith that you are holding on to.
We were watching "old" videos of when the girls were "babies".  I had walked into the girls room during rest time (with vidcam in hand) as I was hearing a lot of  "noise"...to find one year old in the crib dressed up in a large pink sunhat.  With the help of big sister her "bed" was being filled with every stuffed animal and baby doll.  It was a "party".
I said, "it's naptime, what are you doing?"
to which my 3 year old happily answered,
"not sleepin' mama!!".
We laughed so hard.  Looking back, some of those days, I now realize that "resting" was probably more for the benefit of exhausted mama.  The children were obviously not tired. ☺.  The precious truth that I was reminded of is this...

"He tends his flock like a shepherd:
He gathers the lambs in his arms
and carries them close to his heart;
he gently leads those that have young."
Isaiah 40:11

The grace of God in parenting.  He does gently lead tired mommies.  This is not just "stupid children's book material"  (ha)... it is truth.  I needed to remember.  I know that there are some tired, new mom's out there that need a hope that is true.

For the days that your children empty the baby powder...
It's ok, cry.  You are tired and probably haven't had even
30 seconds to use the bathroom.
May Jesus hold you close to His heart and give you strength.
and in a few years, let you laugh 'til your stomach hurts
when you watch the video. ♥
